Welcome to the Rhode Island Bar Journal magazine and eBulletin page. The Rhode Island Bar Association is a unified bar. All lawyers admitted to practice in the state are members of the Association, as are all Rhode Island sitting judges, and all receive the Rhode Island Bar Journal. The Bar Journal is also mailed to subscribers. Total Bar Journal readership constitutes an audience of over 6,000 individuals in Rhode Island and across the country.

The Bar Journal is published bi-monthly, six times annually. Including articles concerning relevant legal issues, opinion pieces, member profiles, updates on members’ achievements, and detailing events, programs and meetings as well as advertisements for products and services of interest to Bar members, the Bar Journal is read on arrival and, most often, kept for future reference.

Here you will find Bar Journal information including: article submission and selection criteria; advertising rates and requirements; and an article index from 1952 to the present. Bar members may access published articles, from January 2002 to recent issues, online, through the member’s only online law library Casemaker.
