Event:
Auto Accident Reconstruction

Additional Information:
Today's complex transportation system requires a higher level of training and education not only for the police officer, but the legal community as well. Traffic accident reconstruction is the ability to determine, with what ever information is available, the "how" and "why" the collision occurred. This seminar will provide a behind the scenes look at one of the most utilized police calls for service today, the motor vehicle collision. As a police officer instructor with over 15 years of experience, Donald Mong, will review the training police officers receive in accident investigation from the basic to the more advanced level. Officers are taught to analyze the information and determine what happened before, during, and after the collision. From the basics of obtaining the history of the accident to the fundamentals of mathematics, physics and engineering as they pertain to crash investigations, they learn the "step-by-step" procedures of investigation, case preparation, and presentation needed for a successful prosecution. Our attorney panelists will discuss how the officer’s investigation, analysis, and opinions can be used in case preparation and introduced or excluded at trial. You will learn how you can use an accident reconstruction expert in your case. This seminar will provide helpful information for both civil and criminal practitioners.
