Juvenile Case Management System Conversion to Start Thursday, April 13th

04/11/2017 - The RI Judiciary sent an email  on Tuesday, April 11th notifying Bar members of the upcoming Juvenile Case Management System conversion. In conjunction with the conversion of the case management system (CMS) for juvenile justice matters in the Family Court, the current JCMS case management system will permanently shut down at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13th, 2017.  Except for emergencies, there will be no juvenile justice calendars from that time until Monday, April 24th, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.to allow for the physical files to be scanned into the new CMS.

The CMS will be unavailable from Friday, April 14th, 2017 at noon until the juvenile justice conversion is complete, which is anticipated to be sometime on Saturday, April 15th, 2017. Any information in the Public Portal is current only until noon on Friday, April 14th, and will not be updated until the CMS is back in service. Documents may be filed through File and Serve at any time but will not be accepted until Monday morning, April 17th.

The payment portal will be down from 11 a.m. on Friday, April 14th, through 5 p.m. on Sunday April 16th.

Starting on April 17th, 2017, documents in existing physical files will be scanned into the system in the order the cases appear on the calendar beginning with Monday, April 24th, 2017 and going forward.  New filings will be accepted over the counter in the appropriate county and filed directly into the system.
