RIZZZ inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame in the Class of 2017

In 1973, guitarists David Tanury and Jim Tait and drummer Rick Couto of the Riverside underground band Powerhouse, joined forces with saxophonist and RIBA Past President Bob Weisberger, Joe “Klem” Klimek on harmonica and sax, and bassist Kenn Reynolds to form a new band which is considered one of the finest and most successful in Rhode Island music history – RIZZZ. The group was inducted into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame on May 30, 2017.

The Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame, formed in 2011, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating, honoring, and preserving the legacy of Rhode Island musicians, educators and industry professionals who have made significant contributions to both the national and Rhode Island music scene.
